Code of Conduct

All stakeholders need to be absolutely clear about what we can reasonably expect of each other.

• The Code of Conduct is formulated to ensure:
• A good administrative, teaching and learning organisation for all stakeholders
• That we promote a culture of shared responsibility and accountability in ALL our stakeholders (parents, learners and teachers)
• That the learners of Zonnebloem Boys’ are well disciplined, responsible and dignified young boys.

At ZBPS our approach to discipline is one of restorative justice. We believe that zero-tolerance is a short term fix that doesn’t help us build the kind of community that we want at our school. Rather than focusing on rules, we aim to get at route causes, try to repair damage to harmed relationships, and prevent reoccurrence. Restorative justice offers a sustainable, equitable approach that builds a connected school community in which we can all thrive. 

To this end, we strive to create a culture of positive behaviour supported by a positive attitude and work ethic that are driven by excellent professional behaviour by the staff, support structures and planning.
